Enjoy, and if you get stuck or have questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to us on discord and we will get right to it!
After creating an account, you will be greeted with the following screen.
Click on the “Splinterlands” game tile and you will be taken to the following screen:
Create and Link your Collection (Splinterlands Account)
If you do not have a Splinterlands account already, click on the “Create account” button at the bottom left of the Splinterlands Discovery screen and follow the instructions to create a Splinterlands account AND a Hive Keychain
If you do have a Splinterlands account already, click on the “Link Account” button near the bottom right of the screen and you will be taken to the following screen:
Click on “Game” and select “Splinterlands”
Next, click on “Address” and enter the name of your Splinterlands account. Check for typos. This is how the platform tracks earnings, and value of your in-game tokens for you.
Description: If you want to give a description to your account to better organize your accounts in the future, this is the field to do it.
Lastly, check the box that describes the authority you wish to grant to NFTy Arcade for this account, default is “None”. On any account that you are lending from please only select “None” or “Posting” - Active Key Authority delegation is only relevant for parties that want to borrow. If you are wanting to borrow with the collection you are linking, follow the instructions in "Start Borrowing" to ensure you have given the appropriate permissions to NFTy Arcade for your collection. Below is a description of what we use each Key Authority to do. Keep in mind this does not give NFTy Arcade access to your keys, it simply give NFTy Arcade authority to do certain activities on your behalf, thus improving the experience and making it easier for you to earn and play.
Once you’ve entered the previous info, click the “Create Collection” button
YOU WILL BE PROMPTED WITH A KEYCHAIN TRANSACTION. THIS IS TO VERIFY THAT YOU OWN THE COLLECTION YOU ARE ADDING
Click “Create Collection” and if you successfully entered in all the information properly, you will be taken to the My Collections screen where you should now see your collection listed. NOTE: You can edit your collection at anytime by clicking the 3 vertical dots next to your account name in the dropdown boxes.
Linking your Collection is an important step in preparing your account for lending decks because you will choose from what account you will want to delegate cards to borrowers from in future steps.
WARNING: As a borrower, you will be giving a lender access to the staked SPS in your account. Before you borrow anything MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLAIMED ALL OUTSTANDING SPS. Any SPS that is claimed after you start the borrowing period will be subject to the % split that you share with the lender.
You will also be granting Active Key Authority to nfty-arcade-2 which means it can perform transactions on your behalf
Once you’ve set up your account, go back to “My collections” on the nav bar to the left of your screen. You will be taken to the following screen:
Select the “Active” button
Click the Question Mark next to the text “What does this mean” in order to pull up the following instructions. Use this link for easy navigation to Peakd: https://peakd.com/
Follow the instructions in the pop up above and then click “Create Collection”. The platform will verify that you’ve delegated authority to the nfty-arcade-2 account by sending .001 DEC to you and then sending it back.
Click on the “Marketplace” tab on the nav bar to the left of your screen. You will be taken to the following screen:
Browse the marketplace for a listing that appeals to you. Once you’ve found a deck you want, click on the arrow at the top right of the listing. You will be taken to a screen like this:
At the bottom of this screen, click on “Collection/Account” and select the account you would like the cards in the deck you selected to be delegated to.
Click the “Request” button once you are ready to start the borrowing process.
When you request, a keychain transaction will popup that will ask you to “delegate rewards” to the person who is lending you the cards you select. This simply means that whatever % split you are agreeing to, will be automatically taken from your Staked SPS and sent to the lender everytime you click “claim” inside of Splinterlands.
Once you’ve approved the reward delegation, the lender has 24 hours to approve the transaction and when they do, the cards will be sent to your account.
If the lender does not approve the transaction in 24 hours, you will be prompted to cancel the reward delegation.
Sending Rewards - IF YOU DID NOT GRANT ACTIVE AUTHORITY TO NFTY-ARCADE-2
Congratulations! You have received a deck and can start playing! Now comes the easy part, compensating the lender.
Everyday, you simply need to click “Claim” inside of Splinterlands and you will keep the % of Staked SPS you agreed upon with the lender, and the rest will be sent to them.
Every 7 days, or at the end of your rental agreement, you will need to login to the NFTy Arcade Gateway website and you will see a popup that indicates cards and packs that you’ll need to approve to be sent to the lender.
If you are logging in from your phone, you will need to navigate to the site from the keychain app and then login.
Click the button for each transaction and you will be prompted in your keychain to approve the transaction and the platform will send the agreed % worth of cards back to the lender and the agreed % worth of packs back to the lender.
NOTE: As a LENDER on the platform, you will be delegating cards from your chosen account and agreeing to approve a delegation (posting) transaction within 24 hours of accepting a request from a Borrower. Failure to approve the transaction within 24 hours will automatically decline the delegation and relist your deck on the market.
Once you’ve set up your account, click on the “Listing” tab on the nav bar to the left of your screen. You will be taken to the following screen:
Click “Add Listing”
The “Add New Listing” screen will be presented. From here you will add the details of your listing:
Description: this is the name of your listing that borrowers will see when looking on the marketplace.
Default League: From this dropdown, select the default league that you want your listed deck to be played in.
Minimum Rating: This field allows you to set a minimum rating for the player that can request to borrow your deck, keep in mind that setting the minimum rating below the default league is a good way to attract players that want to play in higher leagues than they currently can by borrowing your deck.
List on Market: This checkbox, if checked, will automatically put your listing on the marketplace once you click “Create Listing”. Leaving this Checkbox unchecked is a good way to keep your listing as a draft until you are ready to make it available for borrowers.
Rental Duration: This is the length that the contract will be valid as long as the playing conditions are met, at the end of the chosen amount of time, the cards are undelegated and returned to your account and the deck is re-listed on the market.
Your Percentage (Split): This is the earnings split that you will be taking home from the player for the duration of the contrat while the cards are being played by a borrower
Recieve NFTs in Payment: Selecting this box signifies that you would like to receive earned NFTs (Cards, Card Packs) as a portion of your payment
Recieve Crypto in Payment: Selecting this box signifies that you would like to receive earned Cryptocurrency (SPS) as a portion of your payment.
If you select both of the above, the payments you will receive will be the percentage of the total value of the earnings divided by your chosen payment percentage paid out in both NFTs and crypto from game winnings.
Allow missed days?: This is an option you can give for borrowers that essentially allows them to miss days of approving the transaction for the rewards split to be made. If the borrower plays on the days that they miss, your rewards will still accrue for that period and will be paid to you the next time the borrower approves the reward split transaction.
Lastly, you will need to curate the deck you want to make available to the borrower:
First, from the “Collections” dropdown, select which of your collections you will want to be lending from.
Second, use the “Select Card” feature to select which cards from your account you want to include in the listing. Use the filter views to better find the cards you want to include in the listing.
Third, you will see the cards you selected and will be able to “Create Listing” when you are satisfied.
Alternatively, you can use the feature to preconfigure your on Peakmonsters and upload the .csv file here.
Finally, when you are happy with your deck and other contract terms, click “Create Listing” when you are done. Your listing will then show up under the “Owned” tab on the Listing page.
NOTE: If you granted “Posting” key authority to your collection you are lending from, the following steps are not relevant to your listing, if you selected “None” then you will need to follow the steps below to ensure your listing is successfully borrowed.
Accepting Borrower Request
After your listing is available on the market, borrowers can request your listing. If a borrower has requested your listing, you will see a notification on the “Confirm” tab, click the notification to confirm the request. Be sure to respond within 24 hours to confirm the listing or the request will be declined and your listing will return to the marketplace. If you do not want to have to remember to go in and confirm the listing, consider setting your collection to have Posting Permissions as seen in previous steps.
Click green check mark to prompt card delegation authorization signature from Hive Keychain - this is confirming that you are approving your cards to be delegated to the borrower for the length of the contract term.
After you confirm in Hive Keychain, the cards will be delegated ot the borrower and your Listing tile will move into the “Lending” tab
End of Contract Term
At the end of the contract term, you will receive an email prompting you to login to your account to undelegate the cards. When you login you will be prompted with a message.
Click “Process” and confirm the action of the Hive Keychain
You are finished and your listing will enter a 24 hour cooldown period, after which it will be relisted on the marketplace or you can choose to unlist it.
Congratulations, you are all set and are now successfully lending a deck on NFTy Arcade! Rewards will automatically be posted to your account, be sure to check the Eranings tab to keep track of your earnings over time.
